The Bergen County chapter of the NAACP celebrated the 150th anniversary of Emancipation Proclamation at the Varick Memorial AME Zion Church in Hackensack Sunday. The event featured songs, a look at the struggles of African-Americans and a speech from Historian Arnold Brown on President Abraham Lincoln's historic proclamation.
