The white marble lady reclining on a grand piano holding a single rose on Saturday outside of Wine & Roses was a piece of art sculpted by Francisco Sotomayor of Woodland Park, Colorado.
Sotomayor's sculpture, "American Woman," was hand carved from one single piece of marble and weighs 10,000 pounds. It is the only marble sculpture in the world to have eyelashes.
"American Woman" will be on display at the New York City Metro Show from May 10 to May 13 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus.
