B.F. Gibbs Girl Scout Troop 1506 organized the first ever Walking School Bus that took place on Friday, May 27 in order to complete their Journey for the Bronze Award.  The girls sent out flyers to the school informing them of the date the bus was going to leave and at 3:10 all students that wanted to jump on  met in the front circle of the school to walk along the designated route.  There were about 50 students and parents that walked with us and we received a police escort all the way down the Boulevard in an effort to make Gibbs and New Milford a greener place.
